Colin founded CHS Engineering Services Ltd in 1985, and now has over thirty years’ experience in airport baggage systems, from system specification through to ongoing predictive maintenance and performance monitoring.
He first started his engineering career as an electrical switchgear and motor control engineer, where he worked within a range of different industries, including nuclear power stations, vehicle manufacturing and petrochemicals to name a few. His experience gave him the opportunities to work on a whole host of diverse applications and gave him an unparalleled insight into the industry. Colin has worked with some of the largest airports in Asia, Australia and the UK, to tackle complex technical challenges and is able to share his independent insight and wide-ranging practical experience to benefit other businesses.
TECHNOLOGY PROJECT MANAGER
Chris is a technologist with decades of experience in IT and related industries where he has delivered multiple IT and development projects with award winning apps in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. He joined the team in 2003 and leads CHS on IT and Development strategy and security. He has developed in house asset and stores management systems (CMMS) used at major international airports and has led successful implementation of International Standards such as ISO 9001:2008/2015. He leads on quality management initiatives and has designed and led multiple company-wide process and change management programmes. His expertise has seen Chris deliver enterprise applications available in the Windows Store. He has innovated and developed CHS’s SAAS IOT wireless monitoring service offerings (Foundations Connect).
Chris is a much-valued member of staff and has strong background orchestrating full project lifecycles from system planning, design and delivery. Chris has a great understanding of CHS’s products and services and works collaboratively across teams on process and system improvements identifying opportunities for efficiency and continual improvement. These projects have led to cut expenditures while enhancing efficiency and operational capacity, reducing overhead, delivering savings and technical advances for CHS. Chris is highly committed to the continuous delivery of top- quality products and services to clients.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Lim Yi joined CHS Engineering Ltd in 2015 and leads CHS in Singapore. Lim Yi heads up engineering operations and service delivery across Asia pacific markets. He ensures continuous delivery of quality services to clients, customizing condition/remote monitoring, technical assurance and consultancy to address needs, such as optimization of airport baggage handling systems.
Lim Yi is a versatile engineering professional and leader with an extensive background providing the expert management of mission-critical specialized systems within the Aviation industry.
Prior to his position at CHS, Lim Yi held Senior Management and Assistant Vice President roles over 9 years in Changi Airport Group and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
Lim Yi creates and delivers technical training programmes for clients, covering maintenance, operations and project management and is key member of staff at CHS.
DIRECTOR OF SALES
Tracey, our Director of Sales, started as an apprentice with BOC as a technician where she completed a heavy fabrication craft course.
Tracey moved to Frigoscandia as a design draughts-person and worked from drawing board to CAD, designing production process lines and warehouses for frozen food and then later progressed to Projects Manager, internationally.
While self-employed, she has completed CAD M&E design work for Capita for Cisco systems, sales work for a northern electrical company and sales and CAD work for a materials handling company SDI Greenstone, that was more recently bought out by Dematic.
She’s held a strong sales position at Smiths Detection and spent over nine years in the Aviation sector, where she was responsible for multiple product sales and having to keep up with Aviation regulations and equipment provisions and development. Tracey joined CHS in 2018, bringing her knowledge and extensive experience to the team and is responsible for sales and marketing with a keen vision to take CHS further into the Logistics, Aviation and Manufacturing arenas.
UK SALES MANAGER
Paul is a versatile senior management professional with a strong commitment to elevating operation performance, profitability and product/service reach through strategic allocation of resources, in alignment with budgets. Paul joined CHS in 2009 and leads site and factory acceptance testing of complex systems, encompassing low and high-level controls as our Director of Projects and HBS.
He strategically manages the company’s portfolio of diverse projects, with a strong focus on the timely and quality completion of all phases in alignment with organizational policies, procedures and regulations. He ensures proper implementation of systems integration testing, trials, data analysis, performance monitoring, root cause analysis and technical reporting.
HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION
Sabine is a freelance English/Latvian interpreter that joined the team in 2013.
Sabine’s career started with administrative and management roles in hospitality. She has been a Store Manager for Dollar Financial Group, where she led, motivated and provided direction to staff while setting, implementing and monitoring achievement of customer service best practice and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Through her role at CHS Engineering, Sabine displays a unique mix of customer service, operations and administrative management expertise to oversee company Human Resources (HR) for both the UK and Singapore branches, alongside Finance department functions and banking administration in Singapore.
Sabine is a much-valued member of the CHS staff team.
