The Brief

High risk of fire and electric shock in Terminal retail premises, due to a number of factors including poor maintenance, copy parts used, not keeping to Gatwick Airport installation requirements.

Our Role

Carry out 6-monthly electrical and health & safety inspections on retail and catering units. Report faults to unit holders for rectification.

Our Solution

Using a custom audit schedule for Gatwick of 6-monthly and Pre-Trade audits, we identify poor practice, where prohibited or copy components are used on maintenance, and component breakdown, as well as where unit installations are not to BS and Gatwick Regulations. We analyse year on year audit results helping to reduce faults such as high dust levels. High risks faults are reduced through support with PPM Legislative Requirements.
