CHS scoops Innovation Award at Manufacturing Management Show 2017
08 December 2017
CHS Engineering Services Foundations® Connect has won an award for Innovation at UK expo, The Manufacturing Management Show.
The product, which was developed to replace manual data collection and reporting of critical assets in airports, has been rolled out globally and is monitoring a range of equipment around the world.
Foundations® Connect solves the issue of physically visiting critical and hard to reach assets or machinery to collect important monitoring parameters such as vibration, temperature and humidity. Once installed, the Internet of Things (IoT) powered, cloud-based Foundations® Connect hub can monitor assets in real time, and by running proven analysis techniques in the cloud, automated alert notifications are sent to notify managers and their maintenance teams of early warning of failure through the web, SMS and e-mail.
Development Director of CHS Engineering, Chris Maxwell said: “CHS is delighted to win this award from the Manufacturing Management Show. It’s testament to the hard work the team have put in and our customers who have deployed Foundations® Connect”
Ewan Dalton, Global Business Strategist at Microsoft Azure describes: “The CHS technology is groundbreaking largely because of the fact that it’s designed by engineers for use by engineers. The technology itself is very leading edge in the way that it uses the cloud technology from Microsoft"
CHS’s remote condition monitoring product Foundations® Connect is reducing downtime and unplanned outages in airports, post and shipping hubs, department store distribution centres, and more.
